Deleting your account
Delete your Barzaman account in the app — with a 30-day grace period. What gets deleted, and why store subscriptions must be cancelled separately.
On this page
Delete it in the app
- Open Barzaman and go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- For your security, you’ll confirm it’s you again (with a one-time code, for example).
- Read the summary and confirm.
Can’t get into the app? Use the account deletion request form.
30-day grace period
- Your account is deactivated immediately and signed out of every device.
- For 30 days you can cancel the deletion by signing in again.
- After 30 days your data is permanently erased from our servers. Server backups age out within a further 35 days at most.
What gets deleted?
- Account details: name, phone number or email, account settings;
- All data synced to our servers: items, notes, attachments, habits, reports and more;
- Sessions, registered devices and connections.
Some records must be kept for a fixed period by law (for example financial records and invoices); these are kept only for that purpose and minimized.
Data on your device
Deleting your account doesn’t erase the data on your device, so you can keep using Barzaman without an account if you like. To wipe it completely, uninstall the app or use Settings → Data → Erase all data. Back up first if you need to.
Cancel store subscriptions separately
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through an app store. Cancel it in that store:
- Google Play: manage subscriptions on Google Play
- App Store: manage subscriptions with Apple
- Cafe Bazaar and Myket: from the subscriptions section of your account in the store app.
