Backup, export and import
Back up everything as a .barzaman file, export to CSV and ICS, and move your data to another device or app — free and offline.

Exporting and accessing your own data in Barzaman will never be paywalled, and it works offline.
Full backup (.barzaman)
A .barzaman file is a complete backup of everything: items, types and fields, repeats, reminders, notes, habits, settings and more.
- Go to Settings → Data → Backup.
- Tap Create backup.
- Save the file somewhere safe — external storage, your computer, or a cloud drive of your choice.
Tip: back up weekly. Barzaman shows the date of your last backup on the same screen.
Restoring a backup
In Settings → Data → Restore, choose a .barzaman file. You can merge it (your current items are kept) or replace everything. Before replacing, Barzaman offers to back up your current state.
CSV export
Export items, time logs and reports to CSV for Excel or any spreadsheet. Custom fields are included as columns.
ICS export and import
- ICS export: export a calendar or timetable to import into your phone’s calendar, Google or Outlook.
- ICS import: bring events from an ICS file into Barzaman.
Moving to a new device
- With an account: sign in on the new device and your data syncs.
- Without an account: back up on the old device, move the file, and restore on the new one.
Account data export
If you have an account, you can also request a copy of the data stored on our servers from Settings → Account → Export data.
