Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Barzaman’s apps, web app and website. By using Barzaman you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. The service

Barzaman is a local-first planning, scheduling and time-management app for Android, the web and (in future) iOS. Features vary by platform and plan, and we keep improving them. Much of Barzaman works without an account or connection; sync and some features need an account.

2. Accounts

• You must meet the minimum age for your region to create an account; younger users may use Barzaman without an account or in managed spaces.
• Keep your sign-in methods secure and your contact details accurate. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
• Your account belongs to one region (IR or GLOBAL). Moving between regions uses export and import.

3. Your content

You own everything you create in Barzaman. You give us only the permission needed to store, sync and display your content for you — nothing more. We don’t claim ownership, sell your content, or use it for advertising.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use Barzaman to break the law, harm others, send spam, abuse sign-in codes (for example SMS pumping), probe or overload our systems, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what law allows. Shared spaces must not be used to share unlawful content or others’ personal data without a right to do so.

5. Plans and payments

• Free is genuinely useful and has no time limit. Export, app lock and access to your own data are never paywalled.
• Plus, Pro and Business are not on sale yet. When they launch, prices, billing periods and any trial will be shown before you buy.
• Purchases are handled by the store or payment provider you use (such as Cafe Bazaar, Myket, Google Play, the App Store or our web payment provider). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in that store or provider.
• Refunds follow the rules of the store or provider you paid through and applicable consumer law.
• If a paid plan ends, your data stays; paid features switch off.

6. Reminders and availability

We work hard to make reminders fire on time, but delivery depends on your device, its operating system and battery settings, and — for the web app — on the internet and third-party push services. Do not rely on Barzaman as your only safeguard for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm. We may occasionally interrupt the online parts of the service for maintenance.

7. Not medical or professional advice

Barzaman is a planning tool. It is not a medical device and does not give medical, legal or financial advice. Health, medication and shift features help you organize information; they do not replace professional judgment.

8. Third-party services

Some features connect to services we don’t control, such as app stores, calendar providers and messaging platforms. Their own terms apply to your use of them.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Barzaman and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Delete account). We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and will tell you why where the law allows; you can still export your data unless that is prohibited by law.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Barzaman is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for data loss that regular backups would have prevented. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll give notice of material changes in the app and on this page before they take effect; continuing to use Barzaman after that means you accept them.
