Reminders — sound, vibration and timing
Add several reminders per item with their own sound, volume and vibration, set defaults per type, and act right from the notification.
On this page
The Android app schedules reminders on the phone itself, so they work offline, after a reboot, and after time or time-zone changes.
Adding reminders
In the item editor, open Reminders and add one or more:
- When: at start; 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes; 1, 2 or 3 hours; 1 or 2 days; 1 week before — or any custom offset before or after the start, end or due time.
- At a set time: an exact date and time, in any calendar.
- Sound, volume and vibration: set per reminder.
The Free plan includes up to 3 reminders per item.
Defaults per type
Each type has default reminders — exams 1 day, 3 hours and 30 minutes before; classes 15 minutes before. Change them in More → Types.
Acting from the notification
When a reminder arrives, without opening the app you can:
- tap Done;
- Snooze with presets (10 minutes, tomorrow morning…);
- or Skip.
Quiet hours and digests
In Settings → Reminders:
- Quiet hours silence regular reminders; alarms can be exempt.
- Turn on the morning agenda, evening review and weekly plan.
Alarm style (Plus)
“Alarm” reminders open full screen, play on the alarm channel and can repeat until you acknowledge them. Location reminders and importing your own sounds will also be part of Plus.
If a reminder was late or didn’t arrive
Most problems come from battery restrictions on some phones. Work through making reminders reliable on Android. The Reminder health screen in Settings shows late deliveries and runs a reminder test.
In the web app, reminders need an internet connection — see the web app on iPhone.
